Merrick ~ Chapter 3

Since I was new to town I decided it would be best to hold a vaccination clinic as a way to introduce myself to the residents. My mother, Sita came as support and got a shot. I really appreciated that. More people than I expected turned out and I got to meet many people.



One of the ladies that showed up seemed very interesting and I wanted to get to know her better. After the session was over she stuck around and we chatted for awhile. Her name is Fiona, I ended up asking her what her star sign was on impulse. She is an Aries which explains why we get along so well. Our signs are compatible.

The next morning when I got to work one of my coworkers doubled over in pain. So I yanked out my portable x-ray machine to see what was going on. I found that Collete had a flu bug and gave her an antibiotic. It was experimental but it seemed to work for her as she felt much better.

She ended up coming to my house to hang out for awhile. I then got called away to hold another clinic and left her there with Susanna. Maybe they could become friends too.

The clinic went much the way it did yesterday. I even meet another fascinating woman named Clawdeen and I asked her her sign. She is a Leo and that is compatible with mine as well. I wasn't very good and flirted with her for awhile.

I think a party would be the perfect way to get to know our new friends better. So I got everything set up and called everyone over.

My mom came and she was up to her old antics of picking a fight with someone. She also did her famous finger in the ear. I felt bad for Delvin but people will learn that that is just how my mother is.

Clawdeen showed up and I quickly turned around to look the other way. I was very nervous to have her here after the way we acted the other day. I hope she knows that I didn't mean anything serious by it.

Before she could say anything to me I excused myself to go upstairs and see what was going on in the music room. I needed a few minutes to collect myself. Little did I know that she watched me come up here and thought it was a sly invitation to join me. So she did join me and we were the only ones up there.

I tried to tell her that nothing could come about our flirting. I think she listened to me at first but then I couldn't help myself and I flirted with her a bit. It was just so exhilarating and fun!



After everyone left I felt horrible guilty! Susanna wanted to end the night on a high note but I told her I was to tired. Can you believe that, me to tired to sleep with my wife. Man I hope she doesn't suspect anything.

Before I left for work in the morning I grabbed her and gave her big hug telling her how much I love her. I vowed to myself that I would not flirt with Clawdeen anymore. I love Susanna to much to lose her for anyone else.

A few weeks later Susanna gave me the shock of my life, she is pregnant! I am going to be a dad and I couldn't be happier. We tried a couple times before we moved and I guess it worked. This did shock us a bit because she didn't have any signs of pregnancy. No morning sickness, backaches, nothing.

Her pregnancy breezed right by and in no time at all she went into labor. I was on my way home when she called to let me know it was time but when I got there she had already had the baby.

We named him Gavin and he looks just like me. I don't see any of Susanna in him at all but maybe that will change when he gets older. I couldn't stop looking at Gavin in amazement. I am a dad!

When Gavin had his birthday I was right about him looking just like me. If you take my baby picture and compare it to his, we could have been twins.

Gavin really loved Susanna and was very close to her. I worked a lot and was always getting called in to the hospital after hours. This meant that I didn't get to spend as much time with him as I would like. But him and Susanna were like two peas in a pod, it was a lovely thing to watch the two of them play.



But I know all this hard work is going to pay off soon and then I will be able to be home more. For now I enjoy every second I get to spend with Gavin.



Merrick ~ Chapter 2

The next day I stayed in reading and doing laundry waiting for Susanna to get off work. I did a lot of thinking about asking her to marry me and I think I am going to do it. When she got off she came right over to hang out.

Her favorite thing to do when she comes over is play an instrument. I don't understand why she didn't go into the music industry, she is very talented. She just says that it is a hobby but I can tell that she really loves to play.

After she finished playing it was really late so I told her to just stay with me tonight. We didn't get much sleep and she was really tired in the morning but we enjoyed ourselves.....of course.

That morning I got an opportunity to take some fish to Faith Swan to get a better working relationship with her. I figured it would be a good idea to do it since she is my boss after all. So I headed to the park to catch some.



After I caught all that was needed I headed to her house. We chatted for a bit and she was really thankful for the fish. After she went in her husband Armond came out and started talking to me about their daughter. I thought that was a little strange.



I meet Susanna at the Bistro again tonight and told her to dress nice. Tonight I was going to propose to her! When she got there I surprised her by giving her flowers for a change. While we were waiting to be seated an officer had a bout of nausea and I rushed over to help him out.



Once all the drama was over and we finally were seated to eat. Dinner was fantastic! Once we were outside again I got down on one knee and asked Susanna to be my wife. She was so excited and said yes right away. I told her to just move in with me now. There was no reason for us to wait until after the wedding and she agreed.

Susanna told me that she wanted to throw a bachelorette party so I decided that I would work some overtime to give her the house for the day. I didn't want to interrupt her party so her and the girls could party hard......lol

A week later we got married on the beach just the two of us at sunset. There were a few other people at the beach as well but they didn't pay any attention to us, which was great. It was very romantic and the perfect beginning to our lives together.

After our honeymoon Susanna and I had a big decision to make. My boss Faith is a vampire and she hold the position I want. Since she will out live me by many many years we needed to think about moving to a new town. I found a job as an intern in the perfect place called Primrose Valley.

 As it turns out this is where my ancestors are from and where we got our name. We also talked with our family about the move and asked if they wanted to come too. Everyone agreed to the move and so now we reside in Primrose Valley.

I found us a beautiful home with all the extra room we would ever need for a family. Susanna and couldn't be more pleased with our decision to relocate.



Gen. 2 Merrick~ Chapter 1

Hello my name is Merrick Primrose. Last night on my birthday my mother, Sita told me some incredible news. I am the heir to our family legacy of wishes. Basically I have a fairy godmother or something that makes all my wishes come true until my eldest child becomes an adult.

She told me she would have a house built for me but I elected to stay home for now. I wanted to see how all this was going to work first and of course figure out exactly what I want. I plan to become a doctor but am going to take some time off for awhile to just enjoy life. So when ever I want to do some real deep thinking I play chess. This has been one of my favorite things to do since I was a child and because of it I am the best at logic. Well the best anyone can be!

Today is my graduation for high school and my whole family has come. I was class valedictorian and voted most likely to get married. I figure that is because Susanna and I are high school sweethearts and they figure we will be tying the knot soon now that we both graduated.

I am not the only one that has a big day today. My sister Melody is going to her prom today. Our parents got her a limo just like me but unlike me she doesn't like anyone at school so she is going with a bunch of friends that don't have dates too.

She was voted prom queen, I think we may have a family tradition starting here. Maybe all the Primrose kids will be king or queen.

I had a talk with my dad about Susanna, asking for his advice. I was thinking about proposing to her and my dad was supportive. However he did think that I should wait just a little while longer and make sure it was what I really wanted. He told me how mom and him moved really fast and because of it they went through some hard times that us kids never saw. I could see the wisdom in his words and I think I will wait.

I did want to go on a date with her to celebrate us graduating so I called her up and invited her over. I do love that woman very much. I don't ever see myself wanting anyone else.

We decided dinner and a movie sounded nice so we went to the movie first. Then went to the Bistro for dinner. The Bistro is one of our favorite places to eat and it gives us an excuse to dress up.

We sat and talked for awhile about the future and what we wanted to do. I told her about me wanting to be a doctor and she wanted to be a teacher. We both would be helping people but in very different ways. We were perfect for each other.

I asked Susanna to come and stay at my house for the night and she agreed. It was pretty much a disaster! We couldn't find any privacy because my house is so full. Melody and my mother were arguing as always. In the morning we we had an intimate moment in the shower and that was the only privacy we had the whole time.

I decided that living here was not going to work for me. I needed my own space to live my life without the influence of everyone in my family. So I talked with my mom and told her Susanna and I were going away for the weekend to the beach and I wanted to her go ahead and have a house built for me. She was a little upset at first but agreed and understood my desire for my own place.

After we got back from our trip I dropped Susanna off at home and went to check out my new house. It was big with lots of room for a family. I did my laundry from the trip and the damn washing machine leaked everywhere, so I had a huge mess to clean. After I got everything cleaned up I called Susanna and told her to meet me at this address. When she arrived she was a little confused as to why were meeting here. I grabbed her and told her it was my new house and all about my family legacy. She was very shocked at first but she was excited that we would have this place to ourselves. 

We took advantage of our new found privacy my making good use of the hot tube!

We finished the night with a date to the movies and a kiss goodnight. Before she headed home she surprised me with some flowers. I thought it was very sweet, she gave me flowers on our first date too. Maybe I should think about giving her some sometime.

It was such a beautiful night that after she headed home I decided to sit and read for awhile. I also thought a lot about asking her to marry me again. I know dad said I should wait but I really don't see myself wanting anyone else the way that I want her.
