Merrick ~ Chapter 6

Well it is the twins birthday today and everyone was starting to show up. Among the first to arrive was my sister Maeve. There was also a few people that we didn't know come but we figured the more the merrier.

Susanna brought the girls to the cake and helped them blow out the candles. After the aged up they sat together playing with their IF dolls. I really wish my mother was here to see them because Blossom is the spittin image of her. Same hair and eye color, you would think she was my sister and not my daughter.

Having two toddlers in the house kept us all pretty busy. Susanna got to work on teaching the girls how to walk and talk.

Gavin helped out a lot with the cleaning around the house. As a reward for being so helpful we let him throw a slumber party. So he called all his friends, yes he has friends now, and invited them over for the slumber party tomorrow night.

He actually had a lot more kids come then I thought there would be. I didn't realize that he had that many friends and I have to say that I am so relieved. I don't think I have anything to worry about now with him being the heir to our legacy. Gavin really has come out of his shell in his teen years just like his mother and I hoped for.

Since it was a school night they all got tired pretty fast and decided to hit the sack early. It was very amusing to see all the sleeping bags in the living room. Then of course Susanna decided to play the guitar and woke everyone up. They weren't to happy about that at all and most of them got pretty cranky.

In the morning they all left at the same time for school, I bet the bus driver wasn't expecting so many kids to walk out of our house.

After school Gavin headed to the park and fished for awhile, then worked on his homework. When he came home he told me that he has decided he wants to be a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder. How can you argue with such a mature decision as that. So I told him I thought it was a great idea in stead of suggesting he wait till he was older decide. I am just happy he is not that weird and sulky little boy anymore.

I started to notice that Gavin spent a lot of time talking on the phone after the slumber party. I asked him who he was always talking to and he gave me a shock. He has a crush and they have been seeing each other and talking for weeks now. Her name is Elli and she just moved here with her aunt and sister. They became fast friends and are now being romantic with each other.

I wasn't to sure about the romantic part. I didn't need him getting this girl pregnant while they are so young so I had the father, son sex talk with him. He was mortified that I even brought that up and said that they have only just kissed and don't plan to do anything else. What a relief that was!

My father has not seen the twins yet and I really wanted him to see at least Blossom since she looked just like my mother so I headed over to his house. I really was not expecting that I would be the one to get the shock of my life while there.

Stood in the living room was a pregnant Kandice! I had no clue that my father knew her and it turned out that they were dating and she was pregnant with my little brother or sister! I just about passed out with the news. I really was not happy that my father has moved on and got someone else pregnant. He was elder and would surly be dying soon and she was a vampire that would out live me and my own children.

I wanted to know what she was having and decided to tell her. It was going to be a boy. Oh man I really didn't expect this from my dad. My mother would kill Kandice and my father if she were still here.

I was not the only one upset about the situation, my sister Melody was furious and she had no problem in voicing that to our father. In fact I walked in on them arguing in the bedroom about the baby. My sister thinks that Kandice is a gold digging whore, her words not mine, that only wanted to tie herself to the family so she would always have access to our money.

I think Melody brings up a good point since Kandice and her son will out live all of us and our children maybe even our grandchildren. I really can't believe my dad has tied our family to vampires. I don't know what the hell he was thinking.

I was very stressed out by the time I got back home and Blossom was very tired so I headed to the nursery to lay her down. When I walked in I found Susanna standing there covering her ears as Willow was screaming her head off. I couldn't believe my eyes! Willow was starving and smelled awful too. I asked Susann what the hell she was doing and all she was she was really tired. I hope she is not going back in to her depression. I don't think I can handle that right now. I feel like my nerves are shot, the news about my father has really done a number on me.

I needed to relax and clear my head and the best way to do that was play some chess. I had a lot to think about and sort out, as you have heard. The only thing going right at the moment is Gavin and his social life. Well I guess that does give me something to focus on. Oh and now that I have a minute to think the girls will be having a birthday again soon too.

*I just want to say Thank you to Itsjulie for letting me use your sim. Kandice has made her way into my legacy family with my founders husband.....lol of course they are not married so we will see what happens. Oh and by the way she is always trying to flirt with Merrick every single time she sees him and he always gets so pissed at her. Its really to funny!

Merrick ~ Chapter 5

Well Gavin's birthday is here, he will become a teenager today. We decided not to have a big party for him and make it a special event with just us. After he blew out his candles we all sat outside and ate cake together. It was really nice to just sit and talk for awhile.

I was really hoping that with Gavin being a teen he would come out of his shell and make some friends. What better way to get him out then to teach him how to drive. He did really well and learned very quick, I was impressed. After he received his license we had him drive us all to the cat park in town. It was newly built and although we didn't have or want any animals, we still wanted to see it. It was always one more way I could think of getting Gavin out of the house.

Later that night Gavin asked if he could get an after school job, I was so excited. This would help him be social for sure. I am thinking that he is going to do a lot better now. So Gavin got hired as a Commercial
Actor, I really couldn't believe that.

My father phoned me and asked if I would come over to visit, so I headed there to hang out for awhile. My dad has really fell of the rocker since mom died. He was saying the most bizarre things and acting really creepy while he was playing his game. I think he made need counseling or something to help him deal with mom being gone. I was so worried that I called Susanna and told her I was going to spend the night with him.

I finally reached my life time wish and am now at the top of my career. I rushed straight home to tell everyone the good news but got a shock of my own instead. Susanna told me that we were expecting another child. I just couldn't believe it! We did try a few times when Gavin was a child to give him a sibling but weren't having any success. I think maybe we were both to stressed out at the time and now that were not we have a new baby on the way.

Susanna was acting so different during this pregnancy then when she was pregnant with Gavin. Her mood swing were a little unbearable and unfortunately she took them out on Gavin. She always seemed to be yelling at him for one thing or another.

I talked to Gavin about it and tried to explain that it was nothing he was doing wrong, she was just very hormonal. He said he understood and didn't think bad about her and for that I am grateful. I would hate for their relationship to fall apart over her uncontrollable hormones.

I was so excited the night she told me it was time that I ran out to the car to get her to the hospital. I couldn't wait for this pregnancy to be over and I am sure that Gavin felt the same way.

Being a doctor you think that I couldn't be surprised but boy did I get a shocker in the delivery room. We were having twins and they were both girls. We named them Blossom and Willow. Susanna put Willow in the stroller while we were walking out to the car and she looked so happy sitting in there. It made my heart melt a little for my angel.

The night we brought the girls home was the only night that Susanna spent any time with the girls for awhile. I was always the one feeding, playing and cuddling our little darlings. Even Gavin spent more time with the twins than Susanna. I think she may be having some postpartum depression, hopefully she snaps out of it before the girls get to big.

It was prom time for Gavin and I got him a limo to ride in. He didn't have a date but said that there was a girl he liked and he was going to ask her to dance with him at prom. I really hope things go well for him at prom.

Gavin looked devastated when he came out of the school, prom didn't go that well after all. First his crush said no to the dance and then made fun of him in front of everyone. Then as a joke he was voted prom king and in his speech he thanked everyone for rigging the votes. Then right before it was over he got into a fight with someone after they laughed at him for falling flat on his face while dancing.

I knew he had a rough night but that is no excuse for fighting so when he got home I laid into him and grounded him for the weekend. He wasn't very happy with me but he needs to learn that violence does not solve anything.

Gavin spent the weekend doing homework and helping out around the house. I was so impressed by his behavior that I let him off grounding early. Susanna and I spent the weekend mostly in the  hot tub reconnecting.

It felt good to have my wife back to normal again and just in time for the twins birthday. This time around we were going to throw a big party. Gavin helped us plan it and it was all set to go for next weekend. It was going to be a little strange to have two toddlers and a teenager in the house but it is the life I have wished for.

Merrick ~ Chapter 4

Gavin has been a very needy toddler so far. We have taught him all his skills but he still cries to get attention instead of using his words. Even when Susanna is standing right in front of his crib, he will scream his head off.

There are the rare occasions when he will sit and play by himself but he demands most of our time. I try to play with him as much as possible when I am home and Susanna takes him out on walks everyday. He is not a bad behaving child just very vocal and demanding. It could be due to the fact that he is an only child and therefore spoiled rotten.

Susanna and I have no wish to have another child. We are perfectly happy with our family as it is now. Neither of us have felt the need to flirt with anyone else for years now. We are even good friends with Clawdeen and we haven't had anymore flirting issues. We valued our friendship more than the excitement we felt at flirting.

We have three birthdays this week, all of us will be entering the next phase in our lives. Susanna and I went out for our birthday since she had to go promote a new drink at the club anyway.

Then when we got home Gavin had birthday with just us there. We didn't want to have a big party for him and it was really nice to just our little family there for this special moment.

He is growing up to look just like me! He is a very handsome boy, not that I am biased or anything.

The first thing Susanna did after his birthday was scare the crap out of him. He saw it coming too and still got scared. Susanna got a lot of satisfaction out of that.

We did surprise him with a makeover of one of the rooms just for him. We even put two beds in there in case he wanted to have a sleep over after he made some friends. We also added his own bathroom.

My father called me up today and asked if I would come by. I thought it strange, he has never done that before. Him and my sisters were there, they all looked a bit sad and I had no clue was going on.

I was not prepared for what he told me next. My mother has died! He said that it was just her time and she had a full and happy life. I knew she was getting old but it still hurt to hear that she was gone and I didn't get to say goodbye.

When I went home I got on my computer to play chess. That has always been a great way for me to think and sort out all my feelings about things. I ended up playing all night long and was to tired to go to work the next day. It wont help me get my promotion but hey I figured I deserved a day off after the news I got.

I think my son is insane! He is always holding these special little gatherings at the table but no one is there with him. On his first day of school he wore a tuxedo but his reasoning for that did sound sane. He said he wanted to look his best on the first day but he still wears it to school everyday.

Another thing that worries me about him is that he hasn't made any friends at school. He sits by himself a lot of the time looking deep in thought and plays a lot of make believe stories and games. I guess it is good that he has such a vivid imagination but I still worry about him not having any friends.

Today the school called me at work and said that Gavin never showed up to school. I immediately panicked because he got on the school bus the same time that I left for work. So I rushed to the school only to find him sitting outside in just a pair of shorts and not the tux that he left in. I tried talking with him about it but he just said he felt constricted in the tux and needed to get out of. I decided to take him home for the day.

Susanna and I might have to think about having another baby because I just don't think that Gavin will be able to handle being the heir to our family legacy. His birthday is just around the corner and I am hoping that he will come out of his shell and make some friends when he is a teenager.
