Chapter 11

Melody doesn't really talk to me nowadays but she will speak to Jace. It's strange really, I didn't mean to forget her birthday and then blow her off. I was distracted, I know that is no excuse but I didn't expect her to react this way.

She has asked Jace to teach her to drive and he had to keep telling her to keep her eyes on the road. She was really nervous but like Merrick she learned it in one try.

Ever since Melody learned how to drive she has been acting out. I don't think she has been ungrounded for months now. She is always staying out past curfew and getting picked up by the police. When I try to talk to her about it she just yells at me. Like it is my fault she behaves this way. I don't know what to do with her or how to fix this.

The only time she speaks to me is to feel my tummy. She is excited to have a new little brother or sister. The last time she felt my belly I let her off grounding hoping that would help change her behavior. She seemed remorseful and thankful, so I really do hope that will help.

I needed to get out of the house for awhile so I went to my friends party. I was in a right foul mood for some reason and probably shouldn't have gone. I ended up insulting another guest there a few times and I think I really hurt his feelings. I felt bad when I was leaving when I looked back and saw the look on his face. Maybe next time I will stay home when I am in a foul mood.

Instead of waiting for me to go into labor naturally we set a date to have me induced. I wasn't due for a few more days but man was I ready to have the baby. So we headed to the hospital early in the morning and a few days later we were back home.

What we didn't expect was to come home with two babies. We both got what we wanted a boy and a girl. We named them Marcus and Maeve. I'm not sure how Jace feels but I am feeling a little overwhelmed at the idea of having two babies in the house at the same time. It will be a nightmare when they are toddlers.

I guess I shouldn't have panicked to much, since Merrick and Melody are teens they have been a big help. They are always helping out with the babies and even doing middle of the night feedings.

Melody has been really good lately, she even got a part time job at the bookstore. She only had one incident in which she was brought home by the police. She was caught throwing eggs at one of the neighbors houses. But because she has been doing so good I didn't ground her, I just gave her warning. I don't think she was expecting that and she had a bit of a neurotic freak out.

Jace completed his lifetime wish and is now a Rock Star so we celebrated in the hot tub while everyone else was asleep. These are the things that help keep the romance alive!

Maeve and Marcus had their birthday, they are both so cute. Maeve has my hair and Jace's eyes and Marcus has Jace's eyes but I am not sure where his hair color came from. It could have come from someone in my family but since I don't remember them I couldn't tell you.

Merrick is so good with the little ones, he will make a great father someday. He loves to spend time with them and play with them. You can tell that they just adore their big brother.

Now that the twins were toddlers they spend a lot of time playing together. Jace and I have started on teaching them how to walk and talk. They are fast learners just like Merrick and Melody were. It's nice to know that we make smart babies.

Well I have achieved my lifetime wish and I even have more than eight perfect plants in my garden. In fact I have eleven perfect plants now.

Since all my dreams have come true it is time to pass the legacy on to Merrick. He has become an adult and I have told him about our family legacy. I told him he can stay here with us or he can move out into a house that I will have built for him. He said that he would like to stay here for awhile until he has time to think it through more. I am happy with that choice because that means my little boy wont be moving just yer. Hopefully he he wishes to stay here and just take over our home once we pass away but the choice is now his.

Merrick has aged up into a very handsome young man, He has decided he wants to be a doctor which pleased Jace to no end. It is not surprising that he gained the Hopeless Romantic trait upon turning in to an adult. I hope him and Susanna decided to get married as she is a lovely girl. Only time will tell and it is not in my control anymore.

Good Luck baby boy and may you have a long and very happy life full of dreams come true!

Chapter 10

*By Merrick

I don't think mom and dad really thought out the timing of their vacation. Tomorrow is Melody's birthday and they are not going to be here for it. No wonder she was so upset about them leaving even though she did tell them she understood. It makes me wonder if they forgot it was her birthday.

At first I was a little worried at being responsible for her but really there is nothing to it. We leave for school at the same time and I get home before. So it has been a piece of cake. Last night I even read her a bedtime story, it was so cute when she feel asleep in the middle of the story. Then in the morning we ate and off to school we went.

There were two things I wanted to do very much, go on a date with Susanna and throw a party for my sister. So I called and arranged both things after school. Susanna was going to come over in a bit when she got off work and tomorrow we were going to have a party for Melody. Susanna was going to call a few kids she knows and invite them over for the party. Melody is going to be so surprised.

Since I was watching Melody she had to come with Susanna and I. We tried to go see a game but it was half over when we got there and they wouldn't let us in. So we hung out in front and chatted for awhile. You would think with my little sister there it would be weird but it wasn't. We all had a great time, Melody and Susanna get along great and have become good friends.

When Melody wasn't looking Susanna surprised me with flowers. They were nice but I thought I should have given her flowers. It just felt strange getting flowers from my girlfriend. I am glad that Melody didn't see, she would have never let me hear the end of it.

Today is Melody's birthday and party. I am not to good at cooking so I ordered pizza for everyone. The guest arrived and to my surprise they were all teens. I guess it makes sense since she will become a teen at the party.

One thing I didn't count on was it getting busted by the cops. The party only lasted an hour before our neighbors called the police and reported the noise. It was in the middle of the afternoon for crying out loud. So I can officially say the party was a bust and nobody got to watch Melody age up.

One thing I didn't realize was they also called our parents and they came home early. My mom freaked out on me and I got grounded for a week. I tried to explain why I had the party but she didn't care all she cared about was that the police showed up. Oh please like it was some raging out of control party.

I don't even think my parents noticed that Melody was upstairs, now a teen, playing the guitar. They just yelled it was time for bed and went to their room. Before I headed to my room I went to her and apologised for how the party turned out. She forgave me and felt bad that I was grounded for throwing her a birthday party. She was a little bitter that mom and dad didn't so much as even say hi to her when they got home.

I ended up sleeping on the bottom bunk in her room. I still felt horrible but when we got p and dressed in the morning she seemed to be fine. I guess she really wasn't mad at me, only mom and dad.

After school we worked on our homework together so that we could get it done faster. We also got our school pictures that day. I hate mine but my sisters came out good. She is to pretty, the boys at my school better not even think about trying to date her or they are going to have to deal with me.

Melody knows that I have been wanting to hang out with Susanna so she distracted my mom so I could sneak out and see her. We went out to eat at the bistro downtown for dinner and while we were there I gave her a present. Then a little later I got my first kiss, I just kind of leaped forward and planted one right on her lips. I thought if I did it quick it would be less awkward. I think that was a good plan, we both just laughed a little afterwards. Then it was natural as can be like we have been kissing for ages.

The bad thing about sneaking out was that Melody didn't know when I was going to be home so mom caught me sneaking back in. She was not happy with me at all!

Before I went to bed I begged and pleaded with her to let me off this time. I tried explaining to her again why I had the party in the first place and that her and dad were being jerks by ignoring the fact that they missed Melody's birthday. That gave my mom a lot to think about she admitted that they have had a lot on their minds. She let me off and said of course said no more parties with out permission.

*Sita

I felt bad about forgetting Melody's birthday and not saying anything to her about it. Jace and I have had a lot on our minds. We think I might be pregnant again and it was not something that we planned. Well it's not really ever been planned for us but with our Merrick and Melody being older we figured two was perfect for us. We have been waiting for the doctor to call us back with the results of the test.

Well no need now, it is official, I am pregnant.

I told Jace right away, he was shocked but happy as always. He said he was looking forward to having more children with me. He was hoping for another little girl but I wanted another little boy. I guess we would have to wait and see who would get what they wanted.

Chapter 9

Jace came home with some good news yesterday, he got promoted to Lyricist. He has almost completed his life's dream. I have almost finished mine as well, I have seven perfect plants. Only one more perfect plants to go, although I have about three more that are almost perfect.

The kids birthday party went off perfectly. All the invited guest showed up and everyone had a fabulous time. Jace carried Melody to the cake and helped her blow out the candles, then Merrick went second. They both aged up beautifully.

After all the guest left Melody wanted to tell a ghost story so I sat and watched her story. She did a great job, I got so spooked at the end that I jumped about ten feet in the air.

The first thing Merrick wanted to do was learn how to drive so he asked Jace and they left after all the guest did. He is a very fast learner because he came home with his driver license. He was jazzed because that meant he could drive to his friends house's now. He didn't want to drive to school so that Melody would have him with her on the bus. He is such a great kid that boy of mine.

After our busy weekend it was time for Melody's first day of school. The buss driver let me on the bus so I could take a picture of her. Merrick sat next to her and I got a great picture of him too.

I spent the day working in my garden while everyone was gone. It is such a nice way to relax and clear my head. I decided that I was tired of not having any romance with Jace anymore. The plan was when he got home I was going to just go up to him and kiss him. If nothing came about of it then I was going to ask for a divorce. I can't live like this, I am a passionate person and I need romance.

Well when Jace got home that night I put my plan in motion and boy did it work. We didn't exactly talk very much but we had lots of body language going on. After we finished our make up session we did finally talk. He thought I was still mad at him for all those night's he spent out and I thought well I don't know what I thought really. I am just happy that we talked and things are hopefully going to get back to normal.

Now that Melody is older I get to spend more time with her. I read her a bedtime story every night just like I did with Merrick. She is also always outside playing on the toys out there. She is very much a busy body and keeps herself entertained.

Merrick and I have also gotten a lot closer since he became a teenager. We talk and joke around all the time now. He even talks to me about....*gulp*......girls he likes. Well I should say girl. Her name is Susanna and he wants to ask her to prom but is afraid she will say no. I told him he still has time and if it would make it easier to ask a bunch of friends to all go together, his dad and I would pay for a limo for them all. He really liked that idea.

We had enrolled Melody into an after school ballet class and she had her recital tonight. She looked so cute in her little ballerina outfit. The years seem to just be flying by now. Merrick almost has the highest skill level you can have in logic. He play's chess all the time, he said it helps exercise his brain. You can always find him at our chess table morning noon and night.

I snapped this picture of him one morning before he got ready for school. He is such a ham!

Time for prom has come around already and Jace & I got a white stretch limo for all the kids. There was six of them that all went together, including Susanna.

Merrick had a great time at prom, he was voted Prom King and game home with his crown. He also got up the courage to ask Susanna out and she said yes. My little boy has his first girlfriend, I can't believe it.

Jace has a surprise for me today, he booked a vacation in Fiji. I was so excited that I jumped right into his arms. It was going to be just me and him, we were going to leave Merrick in charge. Merrick has been very responsible and we know that he can take good car of his sister while we are gone.

We were leaving in just two days so I sat and talked with Melody about us leaving and explained all the rules to her. She said she understood but didn't know why she couldn't come too. I guess it is hard at her age to understand that we needed sometime alone after all these years. She would understand someday though when she had a family of her own.

Merrick was a little worried about being home for three days without us but I know he can handle it. Plus we asked the neighbors to keep an eye on the house just in case.

Tomorrow we leave for Fiji, I am so excited!!! Beach and sun here I come, to drown my stress in the ocean with a cocktail pink and bubbling.
